KEYSTORE retailers went above and beyond for their communities over the festive period, to the benefit of 42 local foodbanks.

The Christmas foodbank campaign saw JW Filshill distribute food containers across its KeyStore estate – resulting in 356 full containers of products making their way to those in need.

Charities receiving donations included Caithness Foodbank, which has centres in Wick and Thurso; Kirkcaldy Foodbank, in Fife; Drumchapel Foodbank in Glasgow; and Inverclyde Foodbank in Greenock.

Craig Brown, retail sales director at JW Filshill said: “This has been a hugely successful campaign and it struck such a chord with KeyStore retailers that some have decided to continue collecting for their local foodbanks throughout the year.

“Our stores are very much in the heart of their local communities, so this campaign was a thoughtful way for retailers to support people in need in their area.”
