Costcutter is on the hunt for new independents

COSTCUTTER Supermarkets Group has been pushing the boat out in its bid to recruit more independent retailers.

The new ‘fresh start’ recruitment drive is focused on showcasing sales growth among existing Costcutter retailers in a bid to attract new recruits.

Costcutter’s campaign includes case studies, shopper testimonials and examples of the support the group offers to its retailers – all of which can be found on a new dedicated website.

As part of the recruitment drive, Costcutter has created the new role of business development director, new business. The post is held by Jamie Davison, who has 30 years of experience within Costcutter.

Mike Hollis, retail director at Costcutter said: “I’m delighted that we are starting the year in such a strong position.

“Our recruitment drive is our most comprehensive yet and is aimed at progressive retailers who want to work with us and take advantage of our outstanding offer, combined with the expert support we provide to help retailers meet the needs of their shoppers to grow their sales and profitability.

The campaign rightly focuses on the strength of the Co-op brand products, particularly across fresh and healthy eating options, as well as vegan and free from and crucially the growth that retailers can experience from tapping into these key trends with us.”
