THERE is a new man at the top of Co-operative Federal Retail and Trading Services, the buying group for Scotmid and the Co-op.
David McKnight has been named as the new managing director of FRTS, which enables independent co-operative societies to work together to maximise their scale.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining FRTS. Co-operation is key to this role, and something I believe is more relevant today than ever.
“I am really looking forward to working closely with the Co-op Group and all the independent retail Co-op societies, it is an exciting and unique opportunity which supports the success of the sector.”
