Sharing the festivities

LIKE them or not, many of us will be hosting family and friends over the Christmas period.

To appeal to consumers shopping for family gatherings, Livingston-based snack producer Nisha Enterprises recommends that retailers stock a wide variety of sharing bags.

Sunny Pahuja, chief executive of Nisha Enterprises said: “We offer a variety of popular corn and potato snacks in sharing bags under the Golden Cross brand, including a range of Party Mix, Party Wheels, Cheese Balls, Bacon Tasty’s and the iconic Johnny’s Onion Rings.

“Another sharing favourite at party time is the Golden Cross Popcorn range, including sweet, salted and sweet & salted, all available in 150g bags.

“However consumers are becoming increasingly interested in healthier products, and over the festive season, when so many of us overindulge, healthier snacks could become even more attractive, with many consumers seeking out healthier options to help balance the excess.”

For these health-conscious consumers, Nisha has launched a new Healthy Bites range in two flavours: Quinoa Chips with Sundried Tomato and a hint of Garlic, and Lentil Curls with Chilli and a hint of Lime.

The range has up to 50% less fat and no extra sugar.
