UNITED Wholesale Scotland MD Asim Sarwar is set to take on a whole new set of duties following his appointment as the new vice-president of the Scottish Grocers Federation.
Sarwar, who takes up the VP role with immediate effect, will succeed current SGF president Dennis Williams at the trade association’s centenary conference this October.
Commenting on his appointment, Sarwar said: “I am delighted to have been offered this key role with SGF. Providing leadership, bringing the supply chain together and working in partnership will be a key focus for the Federation going forward and I am looking forward to playing a big part in this.”
