Full throttle start to 2018 campaign

TROPICAL soft drink brand Rio has been racing ahead with its sponsorship of British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) driver Bobby Thompson.

Thompson (below) took to the track at his home circuit of Brands Hatch last month in a car bedecked with Rio branding.

The brand will appear on 21 year-old racer Thompson’s car for the rest of the BTCC season, with further support for the brand including sampling activity with over 100,000 samples to be distributed at race events.

Rio brand manager Danielle Obbard said: “We are very excited about the partnership which will give Rio exposure to a TV audience of over 20m throughout the summer BTCC season.”
