Grocery Aid
Andy Higginson president of Grocery Aid addresses guests at Grosvenor House Hotel

INDUSTRY charity GroceryAid raised over half a million pounds at its annual gala ball, which moved to a new home at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Shifting to the new venue meant that more than 1,100 industry guests could enjoy the evening while raising £550,000 for the charity.

The event, hosted by comedian Russell Kane, had a star studded entertainment line-up including headline act Ronan Keating.

GroceryAid chief executive Steve Barnes said: “We step changed this event with a move to The Grosvenor, doubling numbers from last year.

“With many major retailers, wholesalers and suppliers in the room, the industry has certainly done itself proud.”
