Catherine Wheeler and Steve Barnes call the winners of the charity draw

INDUSTRY charity GroceryAid benefited to the tune of almost £3000 thanks to the big-hearted guests at the Scottish Grocer Awards who gave generously in the prize draw held at the event.

GroceryAid chief executive Steve Barnes and Scottish Grocer group advertising manager Catherine Wheeler chose the lucky prize winners.

Lucky winners on the night were: Tommy Miller of Scotfresh Cardonald who walked away with a Polaroid Snap Instant Camera, Natalie Lightfoot of Londis Solo Convenience who snapped up a case of Louis Bernard Brut Champagne, Scotmid’s Sonya Harper who won a Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine, Simon Whitaker of Boost Drinks Ltd who scooped a one night spa break at Knock Castle for two, and the final raffle prize of the evening – a hospitality package for two to see Kevin Bridges at SSE Hydro on 7 October – went to Kevin Plant of Scotmid.

Guests also had the chance to play casino games after the formal proceedings, with £100 of John Lewis vouchers going to those most successful at the tables.
