SCOTTISH coffee roaster Miko has been celebrating its Caledonian credentials following the launch of its ‘Hand Roasted in Scotland’ range.

Produced at the firm’s purpose-built roastery in East Kilbride, the Hand Roasted in Scotland range is available in two individual hand roasted blends in 250kg retail packs.

Jenna Horsnell, UK marketing manager at Miko Coffee Scotland, said: “Hand Roasted in Scotland meets the demand for a premium coffee offer with local provenance, which has great appeal to discerning Scottish consumers.

“Having our own in-house facility has allowed us to experiment with different coffee blends in order to create the careful balance of acidity, sweetness, mouthfeel and after taste that we look for in that perfect espresso,” she said.

Horsnell added that retailers looking for a coffee-to-go machine who don’t want to go down the branded route may wish to consider Miko’s bean-to-cup machine range.

“Miko can offer a choice of bean-to-cup coffee machines with a self-service option across various budgets, plus a range of best-selling coffees,” she said.
