CHIP shop flavours continue to be the product development focus for McCoy’s, thanks to an extension of its Chips range.
Arriving on shelf last month, McCoy’s Chip Shop Curry Sauce is available in a £1 PMP 70g pack as well as sharing and multipack formats to suit a range of occasions.
The new flavour joins Sea Salted and Salt & Vinegar packs in the Chips range, with the latest variant targeted at younger consumers for whom chips and curry sauce is a favourite.
Andy Riddie, branded sales director at McCoy’s parent firm KP Snacks said it was “great” to be expanding the Chips range, which has “already been extremely well received” by both retailers and consumers.
“Consumers are making over 27 million visits to chip shops every month, so it was important we recognise this trend and continue to deliver flavours consumers crave.
“McCoy’s will be one to watch in 2017 as we continue our momentum with another jam-packed year of exciting promotions and campaigns,” he said.
