Meeting demand for premium

Coffee roaster Rombouts has launched a single origin coffee range with varieties from Laos and Cuba.
Sales director Simon Remmer said: “The move towards single origin products is in response to growing demand for more premium options at home, due to consumers becoming more educated about coffee.”
Saying that more than a third of consumers now own coffee machines, Remmer said the Rombouts Single Origin range is suitable for filter coffee machines and cafetieres.
He added: “The range is ethically sourced through direct trade partnership; with Laos being both Fairtrade and organic certified.”
The launch adds to Rombouts’ existing  portfolio of One Cup Filter Coffees, ground coffees, pods and machines, and has an RRP of £3.99 for a 227g pack.
Founded in Belgium in 1896, family-owned company Rombouts has been sourcing, roasting and supplying coffee to the UK for over 50 years and introduced its first One Cup Filter in 1958.
