Sugar-free sharers

perfectly-clear-range-full-range-1-5l5WITH the festive season approaching, many consumers will be beginning to stockpile Christmas fare, reckons soft drinks firm CBL. Retailers should increase stock levels of popular soft drinks no later than early November it argues, as that will help boost early sales.

“During the recession, customers found that fun could be had much cheaper by staying in rather than going out, and those lessons have stuck,“ a CBL spokesperson said.

“Nights in will be a key part of celebrations this year, and sharing food and drink items will be priorities amongst consumers.”

The firm claims health considerations are also increasingly important to consumers. A survey carried out for its sugar-free flavoured water brand Perfectly Clear found that 70% of its 1,000 18-40 year-old respondents were concerned about poor availability and visibility of sugar-free soft drinks.

It argues that Perfectly Clear’s range of 1.5-litre drinks offer a sugar-free product and the value for money that consumers will search for ahead of Christmas.
