New look for the winter

OATMEAL and porridge brand Hamlyns has put on a new coat with a winter packaging makeover that is being launched with a special promotion.

Hamlyns has teamed up with forest adventure company, Go Ape for a competition on 1kg packs of Hamlyns Scottish Oatmeal and 750g packs of Hamlyns Scottish Porridge Oats to win family passes for Go Ape adventure parks throughout the UK.

HamlynsIt has also introduced new packaging for 500g packs of Hamlyns Scottish Oatmeal.

The new design has a ‘suitable for home baking’ flash.

Managing director Alan Meikle said: “A number of customers are now stocking these packs as a dual-site product, featuring in both the cereal and home-baking aisles, prompted by the ever increasing use of oatmeal as a recipe ingredient.”

Meikle continued: “Healthy eating and an active lifestyle go hand in hand, so working with Go Ape is a great fit for Hamlyns, and we are confident that this will encourage new customers to switch to our brand.

“The new packaging and promotions should help to see continued growth for the 100% Scottish brand well into 2017.”

Rollagranola has created two new breakfast mixes of nuts, seeds, dried fruits and spices.

Cool Raspberry has 45% nut content and also features pumpkin and sunflower seeds.

Pecan and Maple Twist has 17% pecans with natural maple syrup as well as almonds and cashews.

Founder Robin Longden said: “Our range of granolas provides an energy-rich and flavour-filled start to the day.

“We have adapted our range to align with the demands of customers, to include sugar-free options, with any sweetness coming from fruit and Paleo granola with no cereals and therefore gluten-free.”
