Super heroes?

OFTEN called the most important meal of the day, breakfast has a big job to do. Porridge manufacturers say new versions of the classic cerealĀ  are up to the task.

ā€¢ā€‚Quaker Oats has launched the Super Goodness range, which it says features enhanced nutritional qualities.

Senior marketing manager Duncan McKay said: ā€œTaste, health and convenience continue to be important, but consumers are increasingly seeking nutritious ingredients.

ā€œQuaker Oats has been instrumental in driving growth in the cereals category with sales doubling over the last seven years.ā€

Moma Coconut and Chiaā€¢ā€‚Moma says that convenience and portability are major factors inĀ  the breakfast market and that its porridge pots and single-serve sachets are designed for the almost 50% of the adult populationĀ  who eat breakfast away from home.

The newest variety is Raspberry & Coconut Bircher Muesli Mix.

Moma founder Tom Mercer said: ā€œAll our porridge products contain milk powder so there is no need to add milk or even use a microwave.ā€
