Symbol meets with approval

SPAR’s revamped own-label toilet tissue has been given the seal of approval by the Good Housekeeping Institute, the consumer goods testing organisation formed almost 100 years ago by Good Housekeeping magazine.
The institute has endorsed Spar Luxury Soft White Tissue (four-pack and nine-pack) for its performance, ease of use and design.
A panel of judges said the tissue was “strong and luxuriously soft”, and all the testers on the panel said they would buy the product in the future.
The products’ packaging will now be updated to include the approved status.
The approval will also be highlighted on the Spar UK Facebook page, its Twitter feed and its website.
Spar refreshed its own brand paperware range, with what it says were improvements to range, quality and value for money, in September last year.
The symbol group says the introduction of a £1.75 price-mark on Spar’s Luxury Soft four-pack means it matches prices charged by multiple grocers.

Spar Luxury Soft toilet tissue will now carry the Good Housekeeping Institute Approved logo.
