The breakfast connection

RETAILERS Dennis and Linda Williams have officially launched their healthy loyalty scheme that gives children who buy fruit in their store extra bonus pieces on “Free Fridays”.

The launch came as the couple, who own the Premier convenience store in Oxgangs in Edinburgh, ran their latest Big Breakfast event at Oxgangs primary school, which gave all of the 400 pupils a healthy breakfast. The event also aimed to highlight  how important breakfast clubs are to children and parents.

“We have always believed that there are two things at the heart of every community: the local shop and the local primary school,” said Dennis.

“ We are passionate about supporting our schools, our children and parents.

“Giving children a healthy breakfast is the best way to make sure they get the right start to the school day. Breakfast clubs are the ideal way to do this and we will continue to do everything we can to support breakfast clubs at Oxgangs primary and all the schools in our area.”
