JTI argues that retailers who want to see an uplift in cigar sales at Christmas could take advantage of Hamlet half outers allowing them to stock more cigars without tying up substantial funds.

THE majority of retailers are failing to take advantage of an increase in cigar sales over the Christmas period, according to tobacco giant JTI.
The firm points to research carried out by CheethamBell JWT which shows that while nearly one in four retailers notice an increase in cigar sales over the Christmas period only 11% take advantage by stocking up.
The new research also suggests 15% of retailers see an increase in dual smokers at Christmas, strengthening the argument for stocking up on the most popular brands.
Jeremy Blackburn, JTI head of communications said: “As the figures suggest, cigar sales typically increase over this period, so retailers need to take advantage of this trend and prepare accordingly.”
