• Imperial has launched Partnering for Success, a project designed to give retailers guidance about legislation affecting tobacco retailing including the revised European Union Tobacco Products Directive (TPD 2) and standardised packaging legislation.
The company continues to fight against the changes, which it argues are unlawful.
Melvin Ruigrok, general manager of Imperial Tobacco UK and Ireland, said it showed the firm’s commitment to working with the trade to secure ongoing success in a highly regulatory environment.

• And ahead of TPD 2, JTI has produced a downloadable PDF – now available through is tobacco retailer website JTI Advance – to provide information on the legislation, including details about the proposals and the key timings.
