Four businesses are in the running to be named Independent Food and Drink Retailer of the Year at this year’s Highland and Islands Food and Drink Awards.
Last year’s champion Skye Farm Shop is back in the final shortlist in 2015. But it faces competition from Buth Bheag deli in Kyle of Localsh, Gordon Castle at Fochabers, and the Old Post Office and Lochbuie Larder on the Isle of Mull.
The four shortlisted finalists are part of a group of 38 businesses that will be contesting a range of awards covering everything from food and drink products, to newly launched businesses, restaurants and other eateries, and rising stars in the Highlands and Islands Food and Drink scene.
The awards are decided by a team of expert judges and the presentation event this year, which will be hosted by comedian and broadcaster Fred MacAulay, is on Friday 23 October at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.
