ADULT snackers are targets for the latest product in the Mattessons range.
Stripsticks are chicken skewers made with 100% chicken breast.
The single 50g bag has an RRP of £1.49 and the multipack of two 30g portions is £1.69.
Brand manager Charlotte Kerr said: “Although the foundations of chilled snacking were built on child and teen snacking, over a short period of time, Mattessons has clearly demonstrated that there is also a great sales opportunity within adult snacking.”
She said the category is currently growing at 9% year on year and that 90% of that growth is incremental to cooked meats sales.
“With 13.5% over the last two years, Mattessons is set to drive the growth of the cooked meats category, she said.
“Our new innovation will offer retailers the opportunity to tap into the emerging trend.”

With an RRP of £2.39 to £2.49, the hot panini is available in Chicken & Pesto and Pepperoni varieties.
