Scotland’s top 50 off-trade spirits by sales value

Jack Daniel’s

Volatile spirits

WE’LL look at the individual spirits categories in more detail in the pages to come but the spirits top 50 paints a picture of fascinating, but quite difficult to manage, volatility.
Numbers may well be heavily influenced by supermarket listing and promotions. Nevertheless there appear to have been good performances by most of the biggest brands, but some established whiskies showed intriguingly similar rates of decline.
Some premium and imported vodkas and many imported whiskeys did very well indeed, even though it was said to be Scotland’s big year.
Hendrick’s gin has now exceeded £1m worth of sales. And raspberry liqueur Chambord is now a top 50 spirit and has also broken £1m of Scottish off-trade sales.
