E-CIGARETTE brand Nicolites has been bought by Marlboro owner Philip Morris International (PMI). The move extends the company’s presence in the e-cig market; PMI also licenses and distributes Altria’s e-vapour products.

“This acquisition provides PMI with immediate access to, and a significant presence in, the growing UK e-vapour category,” said Drago Azinovic, PMI’s president for the European Union region.
Nicolites’ owner Nicocigs has a sales force of 40 through the UK servicing 20,000 points of sale.
Nicolites’ market share, as of the end of April, was 27.3% as measured by Nielsen.
