Hamlyns sponsors new daytime show, Let’s Do Lunch, to promote its instant porridge and porridge pots.

OATS brand Hamlyns of Scotland is sponsoring the STV regional shows of daytime programme Let’s Do Lunch with Gino and Mel.
The 20-episode weekday show, starring TV chef Gino D’Acampo and presenter Melanie Sykes, is a light mixture of food and showbiz chat. Guests will include comedian Alan Carr, Celebrity Juice presenter Keith Lemon and and tenor Alfie Boe.
The sponsorship deal includes a series of short ads at the beginning and end of the show, and at the start and end of each advertising break.
It’s the first time that Hamlyns of Scotland has featured on television, and the on-screen campaign forms a key part of support activity on the Scottish Porridge Sachets and Porridge Pots it launched in April. Both products are available in three varieties: Original, Golden Syrup and Mixed Berry.
Viewers will also be among the first to see the new packaging for the traditional Hamlyns of Scotland ranges of Scottish Oatmeal and Scottish Porridge Oats, which will be available in the autumn.
Hamlyns’ managing director, Alan Meikle, said: “This is a hugely exciting sponsorship for us, and will really draw attention to our new products. It comes on the back of some really positive promotional activities earlier this summer, including the Royal Highland Show, where we worked flat out at our prime-positioned stand to keep up with demand from visitors.”
