THE company behind Scotland’s biggest beer brand is to have a new boss.

Brian Calder has been appointed chief executive of Tennent Caledonian Breweries by parent company C&C Group.
Calder will move into the role from his current position as managing director of Wallaces TCB, which was formed following C&C Group’s full acquisition of the drinks wholesaling business Wallaces Express last month.
He will take over what is an enlarged Scottish business within the parent C&C Group, which as well as owning Tennent’s is also a major cider producer and owner of Magners and several other cider brands.
