Giant launches first Scots c-store

MORRISONS, the last of the big four supermarkets to move into convenience, has now opened 50 M Local outlets. The company plans to have 100 c-stores, with a typical square footage of around 3000sq ft, half of which is given to fresh food, and around 20 staff, open by the end of the year.

The first Scottish outlet in supermarket giant Morrison’s M Local c-store chain has opened in Kilmarnock’s Titchfield Street. Three more are planned in Scotland in the near future, one in Aberdeen and two in Edinburgh.
