Costcutter on track for distribution transition

SYMBOL store group Costcutter is reported to be on track to dramatically change its buying and supplying arrangements when its current deal with Nisa ends in summer next year.
Chief executive Darcy Willson Rymer spoke at the company’s Costcutter Expo, which was held in Manchester last month.
Under the new deal a new buying organisation The Buyco will source goods for an extended list of stores from the Costcutter and Mace fascia and Palmer & Harvey- served independents.
Distribution will be handled by Palmer & Harvey.
