BIG-HEARTED staff and customers at Brownlies Best-one convenience store in Biggar have raised more than £1,300 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Owners Bruce and Donna Morgan took donations in return for carrier bags while customers sponsored Bruce and John Murphy to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon. A further £100 donation came from Mondelez International as part of the Scottish Grocer Awards programme.
Bruce and Donna said: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported Brownlies’ fundraising efforts.” Angela McCormack from Macmillan Cancer Support added: “Thank you to everyone at Brownlies and the local community for helping raise this tremendous amount for Macmillan.”
