Now McVitie’s has taken that association a step further, with its new creation, Cheesecake Creams.
They consist of “cheesecake-inspired” cream fillings sandwiched between two midi-sized McVitie’s Digestives. There are two flavours, vanilla and lemon. A 168g roll wrap has an RRP of £1.36.The range is also available in a £1.19 price-marked pack.
They will be advertised on billboards and in women’s weeklies.
Mark Sugden, from McVitie’s owner United Biscuits, commented: “McVitie’s Digestives have always been considered an essential ingredient for cheesecake, offering the perfect combination of sweetness and crunch. Our new addition to the McVitie’s range gives consumers a mouthful of cheesecake without all the hard work, to be enjoyed at any time of day.
“McVitie’s Digestives is worth £135m and growing by 7%. We’re confident we will attract further sales from cheesecake lovers.”
