WORKFORCE management system provider Auto Time Solutions says that in industries like convenience retailing, which employ large hourly-paid workforces, issues such as staff lateness and unauthorised absences can easily inflate payroll costs.
Its latest systems use proximity, swipe-card and biometric technology to record employee attendance. Biometric devices suit retail due to its large turnover of staff, it says.
