MARS and Snickers ice creams will be available for summer in a new mini format. With 74 calories (Mars) and 85 calories (Snickers), the company hopes that shoppers will keep the smaller sized bars in the freezer for an instant and relatively low-calorie ice cream hit.

They come in mulitpacks of 10, RRP £3.49.
There will also be a new, regular-sized, Mars Chocolate Core ice cream bar. It has a dark chocolate-infused centre, making it what the company sees as “a more indulgent, chocolatey treat”. It will be available as a six-pack for a limited time through the summer in 2013.
Another summer innovation, Galaxy with almonds, is intended to add variety to the UK’s second-favourite brand of chocolate’s ice cream range.
With a hefty TV campaign fronted – thanks to the miracles of CGI –by a young Audrey Hepburn, Mars hopes that Galaxy’s core customers will seek out the ice cream version of their chocolate of choice. RRP is £1.45
Tony Lorman from Mars commented: “The launch of three new and innovative products is sure to capture consumer attention at the beginning of the year.”
