Healthy start to New Year

STIRLING-based Graham’s The Family Dairy started 2017 with the launch of Protein 22, a smooth and fruity quark, available in strawberry, raspberry, peach and blueberry flavours.

Graham’s The Family Dairy has agreed to sponsor Scottish Ballet for a second consecutive year. Principal dancer Constance Devernay visited the company’s Stirling farm to launch the renewed sponsorship.

Managing director Robert Graham said: “Protein 22 is a delicious way for people to increase their protein intake.
“Taste tests have proved that our product is creamier, more fruity and flavourful than competitor protein products.

“Our research has also shown that there’s a demand for this kind of dairy product amongst consumers and we look forward to hearing feedback on our exciting new range.”
Graham said that milk has always been at the heart of the family’s range and that innovative product development is a key focus, leading to the launch of its organic whole milk in 2016.
He said: “Looking at consumer trends, the demand for healthier options and listening to customer feedback, we developed an un-homogenised organic whole milk which provides the goodness of organic dairy with the added bonus of cream at the top.”

• Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats quotes IRI data to value the flavoured milk market at £304m with chocolate milk taking a 30% share.
And saying that knowing a c-store stocks price-marked packs would encourage consumers to shop there, Mars has put its 8x350ml drinks range, including Mars, Galaxy, Milky Way and Bounty flavours into a PMP.
