Fruit still rising

KopparbergCIDER may have begun to struggle after an impressive boom but fruit cider brand Kopparberg argues the key young adult products within cider category are fruit ciders and they are in growth.

Fruit cider is growing by 10.3% and Kopparberg, the fruit cider market leader is up 8.3% in the Scottish off-trade, said Kopparberg customer marketing manager Rob Salvensen.

The company has just introduced Kopparberg Fruit Lager – available in a 4 x 330ml pack in the off-trade across the UK.

And it has also just introduced a new flavour to its frozen fruit cider range – Mixed Fruit, which joins existing flavours Strawberry & Lime and Elderflower & Lime.

The latest variant, launched in Co-op and Tesco recently, will also be available in selected convenience stores and supermarkets from this month and has an RRP of £2.99 for a 250ml pouch.
