New flavours go on screen

INNOVATIVE flavours are the lifeblood of the snacks market according to popcorn brand Butterkist, which plans to spend £3m to put its new range on TV.

Mackies_Popcorn_ScotchBonnet_3DThe Discoveries range includes Hickory BBQ Pulled Pork, Sweet Chilli and Zesty Lime and Salted Caramel flavours and features in the current Butterkist TV ad. 

Senior brand manager Anjna Mistry said: “The TV
campaign will raise further awareness of this flavour-bursting range, encouraging consumer trial.”

And in time for Easter, Butterkist has released a limited-edition Hot Cross Bun flavoured popcorn.

The 150g bag has an RRP of £1.49.

Mackie’s of Scotland says it was responding to market demand when it launched popcorn at the start of 2016.
