IMPERIAL Tobacco has begun distributing Start packs to retailers to keep them updated with the latest legislative and tobacco category information.
Sophie Hogg, head of sales and marketing operations at Imperial Tobacco said: “The Start packs have been designed in conjunction with retailers, updating them with the latest legislative information while providing them with practical advice around issues we know they are concerned about.”
She said the packs will provide expertise, support and reassurance to the trade around EUTPD II and standardised packaging.
The news follows the launch of two new products from the company – JPS Triple Flow and Player’s Red Volume Tobacco.
Imperial Tobacco said Triple Flow possesses unique ‘easy draw’ channels, with the new, high–quality smooth blend enhanced by a mineral filter that provides a fuller smoking experience.

Each cigarette is also wrapped in a special paper, designed to actively reduce the amount of smoke emitted – which may result in less smell.
The firm said Player’s Red Volume Tobacco offers smokers unbeatable value for money.
Brand portfolio manager Emma Stew said: “Player’s Red Volume Tobacco will appeal to a wide range of adult smokers, from those who roll their own to those who use a cigarette maker.
“The volume-boosting technology works in conjunction with our new tobacco blend to provide consumers with even more tobacco for their money.”
