Party season needs party food and Spar Brand has launched a range of festive snacks to help its retailers make the most of the festive sales season.

Saying that shoppers will turn to convenience stores for top-up supplies as well as party foods and snacks through the holiday period, a spokesperson added: “With an incremental opportunity of at least £1.2m, retailers should ensure their store is stocked up to take advantage of the various Christmas eating missions.”
The Spar Christmas range includes salted peanuts, mixed nuts & raisins,  mince pies and seasonal cupcakes.
• Ahead of the busy Christmas sales period, KP Snacks has put two of its best-selling snacks into price-marked sharing packs.
McCoy’s Cheddar and Onion  70g bags and Space Raiders Pickled Onion 95g packs have been marked at £1.
Trading controller convenience Mat Collins said: “Price-marked sharing packs now have a larger value share than standard sharing packs, and are particularly popular in convenience where shoppers are looking for the best deals on brands they know.”
In response to consumer demand, KP is giving special attention to healthy snacks.
Collins said: “As well as our flagship healthier snacking brand, Velvet Crunch, we offer a number of other snacks with 100 calories or less per pack, including our new Hula Hoops Puft, Pom-Bear, Skips and Space Raiders.
