Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company UKROLL-your-own (RYO) tobacco remains the star performer of the wider tobacco scene as we begin 2015, a year of major change for the tobacco market in Scotland.
At Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company UK, the company behind natural American Spirit tobacco and cigarettes, general manager Alan Graham said: “The RYO category is currently 1.8% up on a moving annual total (MAT) basis versus last year.
“This growth certainly makes RYO the best performing tobacco sub-category. However, in Scotland the RYO category is up 6.2% showing even more impressive growth.
“Additive-free RYO continues to grow steadily in Scotland with Natural American Spirit growing by 43.4% versus 2013 and over 70% on the latest monthly figures.”
“ NAS currently has a 0.6% share of the Scottish RYO market.”
