Murphy to lead retail body

ANDREW Murphy, retail director at John Lewis, is the new chairman of the Scottish Retail Consortium. Murphy took on the role on 1 January and succeeded chair Ken MacKenzie, the former head of the Scottish Co-op.
The SRC is the overall trade association for Scotland’s retail industry. Retail is the country’s largest private sector employer providing 257,000 jobs.
