The firm says apple growers have reported an increase in the sugar levels, juice content and redness of skins thanks to a combination of high temperatures and sunshine during June, July and August. And that will mean sweeter, tastier British apples.
The growing conditions are also expected to result in the British apple season being extended this year. But the season had started, with the picking of Discovery apples, later than last year.
